Known as having possibly one of the most extensive influences
upon 20-century art, Dutch-impressionist Vincent William van Gogh is viewed as
a world renowned artist due to the likes of works such as his portraits, still
life’s, self-portraits, landscapes and depictions of various objects. Today,
van Gogh is appreciated for his work, but during his lifetime, he received
little to no recognition due to his unstable health and poor life. But van Gogh’s
troubled life would lead to a legacy that will forever be remembered as
brilliant and misunderstood. This is the life and the art of Vincent van Gogh.
